Do you want to take your innovative ideas to new heights in this exciting and fast-paced event?

Then apply to SparkUp Berlin Business Competition (SBBC)* brought to you by the Arden Enterprise Incubator (AEI). SBBC is designed around the needs of the motivated participants who want to launch their own businesses.

Application opens on April 8th and closes on April 15th, 2024

How to apply?

• First, you must be a current Berlin student studying on any of our programmes
• Second, sign up to become a member of the Arden Enterprise Community by visiting aei.arden.ac.uk and take the self-assessment if you haven’t already done so;
• Third, submit a description, of no more than 300 words using the required section on the event page, that describes a viable business idea.

This is a competitive event and only 10 students with the most viable business idea will be selected.

If you are selected, we will contact you to take part in the SBBC. Students will be selected through a set of criteria below.

As part of the programme, participants of the SBBC will be offered the opportunity to be allocated a mentor that will help them to refine their ideas.

Prizes for the winners of the SBBC

The following prizes will be awarded in Amazon e-vouchers:

• Best Pitch Award: Recognising the participant with the most compelling and effective pitch. €150
• Sustainability Champion Award: Celebrating the idea that demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainability and environmental impact. €50
• Adaptive Entrepreneur Award: Awarded to the participant who demonstrates adaptability and resilience in their pitch. €50
• Entrepreneurial Spirit Award: Celebrating the participant who embodies the entrepreneurial spirit. €50

All participants will receive a certificate of recognition in the SBBC.

We are mindful of your academic workload while you participate in the SBBC. If you are one of the 10 applicants selected, we will be able to provide you with additional support to prepare for the SBBC.
