Bio

Dr. Jinan Abi Jumaa is currently a Senior Lecturer and a Programme Team Leader for the Master of Public Health at Arden university. She teaches a variety of modules in the area of Healthcare Management and Public Health.

Jinan’s research is concentrated on transcultural psychosocial services and health promotion and prevention for refugees and migrants. Her main research interests are: qualitative research, migration and integration research, health promotion and global health research.

Jinan has also dedicated her career to exploring and researching innovative teaching methods and practices to enhance the learning experience for students.

Jinan is highly interested in Leadership and Management subjects, where she teaches some modules in her programme that focus on those two areas. She also recently participated in “Aurora” an Advance HE's leadership development initiative for women. As well as the "Build and Thrive for Impact" Mental Health-based Leadership Programme which was funded by the EU.

Jinan looks forward to mentoring a health-related project on the Arden Enterprise Incubator (AEI) initiative. She can help students start or develop their healthcare startups by spotting market opportunities, pitching to investors and stakeholders, leading teams in healthcare as well as formulating mission/ vision statements, and statement of purpose.
