Bio
Dr. Alfred Mensah is the Link Co-ordinator for Partnerships and a Senior Lecturer based at Arden. He is a module leader for Professional Practice in Business and Management (MBA Graduate module) and Managing Knowledge (Level 5).
Dr. Mensah studied at the University of Essex for his PhD. He had his master’s degree from the University of East Anglia, Norwich. Moreover, he has professional qualifications in Business Administration and Education.
He is a senior fellow of Advance HE. He has more than 12 years of teaching experience in the UK in HE and FE sectors in Business and Management programmes. He was a Programme Leader for Leeds Trinity University Programmes at Waltham International College in Barking before joining Arden in 2019.
He has previously worked in an educational consultancy firm, where he contributed to supporting newly set up educational providers to meet the standards of the awarding bodies and the QAA.
In addition, Dr. Mensah worked at Business Advisory Centre (IFAD project) after his undergraduate, where he delivered business advisory services to entrepreneurs in areas like loan applications, working with the local authorities, developing business ideas, showcasing innovative business products at exhibitions, and accessing markets for products and services.
He started his own business and ran it for 4 years before entering teaching in 2009. Dr Mensah used his experience from the Business Advisory Centre to offer advice to some of his students who were entrepreneurs and others who had the desire to start their own businesses in his previous Programme Leader role for Leeds Trinity University programmes at Waltham International College.
